The Advanced Certificate in Blood Bank Technician (ACBBT) is a 6-month specialized program designed to train individuals in blood banking, transfusion services, and lab operations. This course provides a deeper understanding of hematology, immunohematology, donor and recipient safety, and the technical handling of blood and its components.
Students will gain comprehensive skills in blood collection, blood grouping, Rh typing, cross-matching, safe transfusion practices, and handling of transfusion reactions. It also includes training in modern diagnostic equipment and lab safety protocols.
By the end of the program, students are capable of assisting in blood donation camps, hospital transfusion units, and pathology labs, ensuring safe storage, labeling, and documentation. The course strongly emphasizes practical lab work alongside theoretical knowledge.
